EAU THE MUSIC is an indie rock / dream pop artist from Montréal, now based in Ottawa. With her many layered vocals and fuzz guitars, she merges dreamlike soundscapes with dramatic emotions that leave an impact. Her debut Single ‘Life’ featured in a short film called 'Back Tide', directed by an award-winning writer and director based in the UK. She recently finished producing and mixing her first full length album, ‘Light in the Dark’, coming out October 16th 2026.

Her latest single ‘In This Silence’ has been featured in Spin Magazine, Fame Magazine, Mystic Sons, The Lyrical Odyssey, Loud Women, and Canadian Beats, to name a few.

Ottawa Songwriter and Producer Ophelie performs under Eau the Music (pronounced "O the Music"). Her upcoming debut album 'Light in the Dark' blends the ethereal with raw emotion, covering themes of self discovery, transformation, impermanence, and the beauty of life, wrapped in fuzz guitars. Her sound exposes her duality, blending melancholy with hope and wonder, softness with rawness and strength. She uses dreamlike soundscapes to echo her love of the ethereal. While she created, produced and mixed her album entirely herself, in live performances she is backed by a full band of wonderful musicians: Together they bring a lush and full sound to the audience. Her influences include bands like Metric, Pixies, and Radiohead. Ophelie has been a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for her alternative rock compositions, and her first Single Life was featured in a short film, which she partially scored.

Ophelie's story is unique: she discovered her talent for creating music only recently, with no prior or formal training. Through her first album, she has allowed herself to discover the initial edges of her creativity and is living proof that everyone can and should follow their instincts, and their dreams.

Ophelie is originally from Montréal, Canada, and is now based in Ottawa. Growing up, music and dance offered a refuge into a deep internal world in which Ophelie could lose and find herself all at once. She has an unmatched love for life and all its complexities and believes in the importance of seeing and accepting all the parts of herself, the light and the dark. In this way, she is able to step into her truest self. She brings this vulnerability to her music and lyrics with the hope that her audience can look at themselves just as deeply, love themselves and see the beauty all around.
